Bringing a world of cuisine to a small town

Leafy Warwickshire is known for its rolling hills and rich history. It’s a familiar practice here to go on a winding countryside walk, whether it’s with family, friends, or our beloved dogs. I’m sure everyone would agree that the best kinds of these excursions conclude with a hearty meal!

The Falcon at Hatton is perfectly positioned to enjoy the very best of Warwickshire, including Royal Leamington Spa with its regency architecture, and Stratford-upon-Avon with its many attractions, from Shakespeare’s birthplace to the quintessential wooden Tudor buildings.

The Falcon Pub at Hatton is recently under new ownership, and their refurbishments of both menu and interior have certainly brought something unique to the town. Alongside the welcome and well-endorsed pub classics that we all love, they have introduced a competitively-priced Indian menu, drawn from recipes which award-winning Chef Krishnapal Negi loved as a child growing up in the Indian Himalayas.

Far more than your typical Indian menus of Butter Chicken or Tikka Masala, it focuses on light and healthy dishes. Vibrant with flavour and colour, aromatic with precisely balanced spices and herbs, Krishna’s “Lovely Indian Cuisine, all cooked from scratch” is a welcome introduction to authentic Indian cuisine.

Stepping away from Michelin stars in London for his next challenge, Chef Krishna decided to explore the countryside and pursue the concept of having authentic Indian cuisine alongside traditional pub classics, all under one roof. Starting with The Marquess of Exeter, The Falcon at Hatton is the newest venue to join this exciting dining concept.

On top of all this, The Falcon also offers an incredible range of pub classics, from burgers “stacked high and incredible value for money”, to steak, and of course, fish and chips. The “Very Special” Sunday Roast Menu boasts three courses, a choice of three meats, as well as fish and vegan options.

With a vast array of choices for every dietary preference and a heaped drinks menu, you may be so stuffed that you choose to stay in the Inn rooms on-site. There are eight ensuite rooms on offer, all with breakfast included. And best of all, they’ll even accommodate the dogs who joined you on a walk through Warwickshire’s countryside at the start of the day!
